The Latin Programme Summer School

The Latin Programme Summer School returned for another year this July, bringing a week of engaging and creative classics sessions to Key Stage 2 and 3 students.

This year we returned to a primarily in-person event, offering full days of workshops to students in London, with a full and enriching programme of creative workshops and activities. To ensure that those outside London could still be involved in the Summer School, we also ran special live Zoom events and provided a resource booklet for our virtual participants.

Our theme this year was terra firma (‘solid ground’), and workshops included nature-based craft classes, theatre workshops, and creative writing sessions. Feedback from this year’s event was very positive, with the majority of participants saying that they had enjoyed the Summer School, and that it had made them want to learn more about the ancient world.
